One time I was really bored while waiting at a restaurant with my friend, so I asked him to draw me a smanticore.
However, repetition and context are the keys to all things, so over time I grew this idea out. Since that first drawing a year or so ago I have asked many, many people for smanticores, certainly enough to form their own 12-month calendar and enough for me to come to regard this stunt as one of the favorites I've pulled.
I do not know what a smanticore is, and I doubt I ever will, unless it's revealed to me on my deathbed by a merciful god right before I pass on. Luckily I have met many wonderful people in my life who are happy to help me by drawing one out, and it is these smanticores which I will pass onto you today.
